Expansion and Sustainability:

New Lightweight Hall at the BORNIT® Factory Site

Expansion and Sustainability:

The new storage hall from BORNIT® is nearing completion and represents a significant step towards adapting to the growing demands for product availability and fast delivery times. By investing in a state-of-the-art lightweight hall, we ensure that our products can be stored not only efficiently but also frost-free.

Strategically located, the hall is in direct proximity to the production facilities and loading area. Intensive work has been carried out here in recent weeks: on a generous area of approximately 1,000 m², a state-of-the-art shelving system has been installed, providing space for around 1,700 pallet positions. This investment forms the solid foundation for planned automation of the storage and logistics processes, which are intended to be made even more efficient in the future.

BORNIT® Expands Storage Capacity and Commits to Sustainability with New Photovoltaic System

The decision for this significant expansion of storage capacity at the Zwickau plant was a direct response to the positive business performance in recent years. It enables BORNIT® to operate flexibly and reliably even in times of growing demand.

Furthermore, BORNIT® is making a clear statement for sustainability: after the planned commissioning in May 2024, a photovoltaic system with a total capacity of approximately 167 kWp will be installed on the roof of the new hall. This innovative technology will contribute significantly to the company's energy supply from renewable sources. This step underscores BORNIT®'s commitment to environmental protection and sustainable business practices and is another important building block in the company's long-term sustainability strategy.

In addition to the photovoltaic system, the new hall will also be equipped with state-of-the-art energy-efficient technologies and insulation solutions to further reduce the company's carbon footprint. BORNIT® believes that investing in sustainable technologies is not only beneficial for the environment but also makes good business sense by reducing long-term energy costs and enhancing the company's reputation as a responsible and forward-thinking industry leader.
